A Dollar Every Time You...
Yep - I've been keeping track. People use the phrase "set the stage" all the time! On TV, in conversation, you name it.
I've taken to saying "ding!" out loud every time I hear it.
Every time YOU hear it, "ping" me (email, text, phone), and I'll send a dollar to charity. This month: The Red Cross to help aid Japan relief efforts.

Greetings!
It's true! Christmas (or any holiday worth decorating for) really can be the "gateway drug" to successfully staging your home.
WE'VE ALL EXPERIENCED IT. You add the tree, the lights, the tabletop decorations, you do the mantle, and voila! It's festive, full and fun.
Later, after it all comes down, you think: "Gee, it seems so bare in here." Not true! It's the same as when you started - and even so, you probably have 40% more in each room than you need to effectively stage your home - or live in it, for that matter. | | Holiday ready - but too much for every day. |
TIPS FOR THE NEW YEAR EMBRACE THE SPACE. Sit with it for a day or two - it won't feel so bare. PICK YOUR TOP 3. Clear a shelf and then pick your 3 favorite items. Feature those in the formerly cluttered space. See how great a simple grouping looks instead of overstuffed surfaces. | | Clean, streamlined and impactful |
DON'T PANIC. Remember - there are 4 seasons in each year. Rotate your favorite accessories with the seasons. You can still keep what you love - just not on display all at once.
Happy New Year! |

REAL ESTATE RADIO
Brashenomics (KKNW AM 1150), focuses on today's real estate market. I didn't even know such a show existed. But, it does. The show features real estate professionals and focuses on what is happening in the current market. (Hint: they made need effective agents as guests...) Check them out Wednesdays at 3:00 PM.
On Dec. 26, I was on the show, outlining just how that empty spot where the tree used to be can kick-start a great home staging effort.

Note From Patty
New Year, New Leaf
Employment is up (or down, depending on what you read). Sales are up, or down...or holding. Or???
Still, we move forward. And we adjust. I've streamlined my inventory and adopted more flexible pricing. You've probably made some changes, too.
If you've appreciated my work, or meant to refer me to friends or colleagues, give me a call. Let's work together to get those listings sold.
With sincere thanks,
